What Web server are you using ( Apache, Nginx, Caddy)?
I'm just wondering what workflow everybody uses? I'm used to developing on windows exclusively, so a lot of the linux stuff is new and cumbersome to me. I know I can develop locally, which is what I'm doing in a ubuntu VM on a windows box, but lets say I go into production. What then? How do I push to the server asap etc... what's the best method for this kind of setup. I will be using Laravel as a framework mostly.
I liked the idea of having the cloud storage mounted locally in the vm, but I've found once i got over the hurdle of setting it up to accept my ssh key pair sublime wouldn't save over the files anyway.
I followed the instructions on https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-cakephp-on-an-ubuntu-12-04-vps
It is meant for ubuntu 12.04 and cakephp ver2.x. There were some differences. /etc/apache2/sites-available/default does not exist. Instead, I use /etc/apache2/apache2.conf.
Options Indexes FollowSymLinks MultiViews
allow from all
After making the changes, I get Server Error on the cakephp webpage.
I am using ubuntu 14.04 and cakephp ver3.x
Are there specific instructions for ubuntu 14.04 and cakephp ver3.x? Perhaps the instructions for 12.04 is obsolete. Has anyone succeeded?
The output of apachectl configtest is as follows;
AH00558: apache2: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 127.0.1.1. Set the 'ServerName' directive globally to suppress this message Syntax OK
I'm new to apache.
I want to create a client area like client.mysite.com using WP database connected to mysite.com. I've just configured the DNS for client and wilcard of *.client, but I have no clue what to do after.
What would be the best way to go about it?
I can't find any documentation on installing and configuring codeignniter on ubuntu 16.04 in DigitalOcean. Please provide a detailed tutorial on it. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance
