Host a small php-MySQL application in digital ocean

Posted on January 5, 2018

Hi All,

I got a PHP-MySQL application. I would like to host it here. Is it easy to do?

If yes, I would like to go ahead with a $5 plan because my application is simple.

The application developed in Codeignitor 3 and MySQL ( database size is pretty low ).

I would like to scale up the application according to the growth of the application.

Is it a good idea ? Please help

While we are an unmanaged provider this is a relatively easy setup to configure. We do recommend some level of comfort working in the command line or the interest and time to learn as you go.

For this stack you can use our LAMP one-click image. You should then just have to import your database from the command line, upload your files using SFTP and install Codeigniter.
