Host DNS Server with Domain Blocking

Posted on February 3, 2019

How can I setup my own DNS server on digital ocean and configure it to block certain domain traffic.

For example I configure my device to use my new dns I made. Then if I try to access example.com on my device it is blocked and no traffic from that website is sent to my device.

I found maradns but that didnt seem to have blocking. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

You’re looking for a DNS resolver. pfSense has this capability. See the docs here:
