Hosting multiple java apps on an Ubuntu server

Posted on March 31, 2017

Hello!

I built a bot for Telegram, and I host it here. I launch it from the “screen” command, but afterwards it doesn’t seem that I can run another bot in parallel.

I read something about Docker, but since I am new to hosting apps like this, I have no idea where to start.

So, here’s tbe question. Is it possible to host multiple java apps on a server here and how would I need to approach this?

Hi,

It is definitely possible to use screen to run multiple java (or any) programs at the same time. Are you seeing any errors while trying to start the second instance?
