Hostname restore to 24 hours ago

Linux Commands Ubuntu 16.04

So yesterday while installing a new App (FileZilla, if that’s important) I somehow changed my hostname. I thought whatever had popped up was just about the install and what I wanted to call the directory. Apparently I was wrong! We just installed Ubuntu this week and hadn’t gotten too far, so we have no restore points to go back to. I now can’t connect to the internet or anything!

Any ideas how to restore it back to somewhere around 24 hrs ago?

Without a backup, you’d either have to start from scratch or diagnose the issue and attempt to resolve it. DigitalOcean does provide a snapshot service, though it’s manual and you’d of had to have created a snapshot prior to the issue for restoration to work.
