How can I configure reverse DNS on my droplet?

Posted on December 3, 2018

Reverse DNS is not working for my droplet even though I have set my hostname to a FQDN and nslookup works fine. However, when I check reverse DNS with www.debouncer.com, it fails.

rDNS is checked against an IP typically. It looks OK though it’s generally not recommended to set the hostname to the domain name. Make sure it’s a subdomain like server.debouncer.com.

debouncer.com.
