Hi there,
The DigitalOcean Droplets are managed using a terminal and SSH. You’ll need to have an SSH client and, optionally, an SSH key pair. Clients generally authenticate either using passwords (which are less secure and not recommended) or SSH keys (which are very secure and strongly recommended).
You can follow the steps on how to do that here:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/how-to/connect-with-ssh/
In case you did not get your root password, I could suggest following the steps here on how to reset your root password for a specific Droplet:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/support/how-do-i-reset-my-droplets-root-password/
Alternatively, you can connect using the Droplet web console as described here:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/how-to/connect-with-console/
Best,
Bobby
