How can I get full adminstration rights to my Ghost instance?

Posted on March 9, 2015

I have a pre installed Ghost instcance on digitalocean and I can’t administer users. There is a default user added to my setup and I can’t seem to delete it.

Is there a setting I am missing?

This user can not be deleted unless another user has been made the “owner.” First you’ll need to create a new “administrator” user. Then you can transfer “ownership” of the blog to that user in the upper right hand of their profile page by selecting “Make Owner”:

Now using the new owner account, you can delete the original account as normal.
