How can I update the python version on my One-Click Django Droplet?

Posted on May 27, 2016

I use a One-Click Django Droplet. I have seen that the python version on this droplet is still python 2. As I prefer working with python 3, I was wondering how I can update the droplet. The same goes for django. It is a really old version running on the droplet. Thanks for your help!

Hi @lakaro1012,

You certainly can, the instance is yours to do so as you wish. I don’t think we have a tutorial on this specifically, but if you’d like more flexibility an option would be to simply provision a bare ubuntu instance, and follow one of our other tutorials to build a custom version of what you get in the one-click.
