How do a I open a .jar on my VPS?

I downloaded a .jar and every time I go to open it requests that I select an application to run it on.

According to Wikipedia, <code>.jar</code> is a <b>J</b>ava <b>AR</b>chive file. Do you have Java installed on your droplet?
