How do I check how much data has been transmit per droplet per month?

Posted on March 28, 2015

I see there are graphs showing the bandwidth consumed for a vm but the total number of GB transmitted isn’t displayed.

Each droplet has a transfer data limit when created.

How do I determine the amount of data transmitted for each droplet per month?

Currently, droplets do not have a hard limit on traffic. But that also means don’t abuse it either. When they implement the traffic limit, I am sure it will show up in the dashboard.

install vnstat, there are plenty tutorial online.

then run vnstat -m for month stats, -d for daily, --help for more.
