How do I get a list of valid arguments for API calls?

Many of the API arguments must exactly match some list of valid values, which is prone to change over time, and I can’t find a list of valid values. For example, if I want to create a new droplet, I need to create a request like this:

  "name": "",
  "region": "nyc3",
  "size": "512mb",
  "image": "ubuntu-14-04-x64",
  "ssh_keys": null,
  "backups": false,
  "ipv6": true,
  "user_data": null,
  "private_networking": null

So for “image” I can see that “ubuntu-14-04-x64” is one of the valid slugs, but how can I find a list of the other valid possibilities?

I figured it out. For each parameter (region, size, image, etc) you can query those parameters to get all. So for example, in .NET, do this:

var regions = client.Regions.GetAll ().Result;
var images = client.Images.GetAll ().Result;
var sizes = client.Sizes.GetAll ().Result;
