How do I install and setup phpMyAdmin on a LAMP Droplet with Virtual Hosts

Apache LAMP Stack Ubuntu 16.04

Hi. I have setup a LAMP Stack using the Ubuntu x64 LAMP default Droplet and done the base configuration items in the tutorials. I then installed an Let's Encrypt SSL Cert for one of the Virtual Hosts and then phpMyAdmin to administer the databases in a convenient way.

I haven't been able to find a way to access phpMyAdmin even though the install completed successfully. Do I need to do something differently in a Virtual Host Apache setup?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi @webcodemonkey

How did you install phpMyAdmin? If you installed it using apt install phpmyadmin then it should automatically do everything in the setup wizard.
If you installed it in a different way or have multiple VirtualHosts, then we might need to do a little adjusting to get it running.

While many users require access to a database management system like MySQL, not all users feel comfortable interacting with the MySQL prompt on a daily basis. In this guide, we'll discuss how to install and secure phpMyAdmin, a web management interface for MySQL, on an Ubuntu 16.04 server.
