Question

How do I know that my object space is full and need to create new one?

DigitalOcean Space have a limit of 250GB. I am almost consuming all of it and a few MBs left in my object space. My website uses that space dynamically. I only have URLs of files in my database. How do I know that a Space is completely full and I need to create a new one? BTW I know how to create an Object Storage using an API key but the point is how do I know that I need to create a new space now. If there is a way to check the available storage used by the Object Spaces please let me know. Also if a file is deleted from storage then object space will have some free storage so I also want to use that available storage to store other files. I could’t find anything which can do this task easily.

Hi there @harishEel,

The Spaces will not run out of storage. The subscription includes 250 GiB of data storage (cumulative across all of your Spaces). Additional storage beyond this allotment is $0.02 per GiB. If you cancel your subscription by destroying all your Spaces, your bill will be prorated hourly.

You can see the current disk usage of your Space by visiting your Space and then the size will be available right next to the name of the space:

DigitalOcean Spaces disk usage size

In my case, as I created a fresh new space and uploaded just 3 files, the usage is at 317.7 KB only.

Regards, Bobby
