Hi,
I have created a user for ftp ok. When i login via filezilla, it directs to /var/www/html but i can also go view other upper directories. SO i need to know how to lock this user to that /var/www/html so that this user can only view this directory and its sub and can’t view any other directories?

You would need to chroot. Your ftp server should provide that option. PureFTP, and ProFTP should work fine. If you prefer you can chroot with sftp (recommended)
