I created a key and it won't accept my password and I want to remove it but when I try to open a new droplet the key is always there.

You can reset your droplet's root password (Access - > Reset root password) and use it to log in instead. Once you're logged in, run the following command to clear your SSH key:

cat /dev/null > /root/.ssh/authorized_keys
SSH keys are A LOT more secure than passwords. See How To Create SSH Keys with PuTTY to Connect to a VPS.
