How do I save mqtt data into mysql server deployed on the same droplets? (Ie: same IP address). Is this possible?

You should be able to record this data from the same IP address. This library will help with the MQTT protocol.

Since mqtt and MySQL use different ports, using the local mqtt service should not be any different from connections with a remote device.
