How do people normally handle a large volume of file uploads with Digital Ocean?

Hi, I was wondering if Digital Ocean will be able to handle a large amount of file uploads and where is the best place to store them?

What I would do is store them in a temporary uploads directory and fire off a background worker that uploads them to Amazon S3 and deletes the original files.
