Hello, I am trying to change the map on my Minecraft server but I can’t get to the files and folders to change it. If anyone knows how to see them and add files to them then it would be much appreciated.

OS: Xenial

Let’s start at the very beginning because I am not sure how far you’ve gotten:

  1. Accessing your Server: Have you managed to SSH in to your server from the command line? If not read this article: How To Connect To Your Droplet with SSH

  2. Exploring directories and managing files: Once you are in, take a read through Basics of Linux Navigation and File Management

  3. Minecraft- Once you’ve got the linux basics down, here’s a good tutorial on finding your .minecraft directory to install mods, etc..

However, it should give you a good jumping-off point for future exploration.
