What is the reason for this report?

How do you write the "@" sign in the Ubuntu virtual console?

I’m on a Mac but can’t initiate the regular IP-setup because I can’t seem to write the At-sign as the tutorial says.

The console defaults to an EN-US keyboard layout. You can change this by running

dpkg-reconfigure keyboard-configuration

If it helps, the @ sign is a SHIFT+2 on an EN-US layout.
