How does billing work? Can you pay for a server for a year?

Posted on September 23, 2013

Hi there… Probably a silly question I know, but couldn’t find a clear answer elsewhere.

I get the impression billing works per month? Can this be changed to per year? i.e. Can you ‘prepay’ for use for a year?

My situation will likely be taking out a droplet for the whole year (I don’t anticipate any changes in size); and the server will be on 24/7 for that year.

Thanks.

Yes. Indeed you can prepay whatever amount you like. The prepayment will be recorded as a credit to your account (check Billing in the Control Panel). The credit will be charged with the incurred expense every month.

We only support pre-paying for a server via PayPal. You cannot prepay for one year using a credit card.
