I’d check out their documentation:

https://www.odoo.com/documentation/9.0/setup/install.html

Below “Configuration”, you’ll see a header called “Deb”, which is short for Debian, and it should work on Ubuntu.

wget -O - https://nightly.odoo.com/odoo.key | apt-key add -
echo "deb http://nightly.odoo.com/9.0/nightly/deb/ ./" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
apt-get update && apt-get install odoo# wget -O - https://nightly.odoo.com/odoo.key | apt-key add -
echo "deb http://nightly.odoo.com/9.0/nightly/deb/ ./" >> /etc/apt/sources.list
apt-get update && apt-get install odoo

you would have to ask yourself: what is the purpose of this installation? Because the installation process for a production instance will be quite different to a development instance.

Also need to be considered is that Odoo is a multi tenancy system. If you wish to use digital ocean to host multiple company databases, the web server, application and PostgreSQL should be configured to accommodate such installations.

Good luck.

Great help to install Odoo
