How many droplets do I need?

Posted on March 20, 2014

I would like to have someone knowledgeable in the field of PHP and Jenkins give me a run down here on how many droplets I should use.

My goal is to use Jenkins to deploy a PHP application to a staging and production environment.

My question is should I use multiple droplets for this? One for Jenkins, one for staging, one for production? The PHP application will rely on memcached and mysql also if that matters at all…

start first with one, figure out how it works with one droplet, if you are done with that one you can always create a second one. One droplet at the time, don’t forget that every droplet needs a new setup, it’s empty by default
