How to add shh key to droplet?

1) I created key using puttygen.
2) Added public key to /.ssh/authorized_keys.
3) Restarted ssh
4) Added ssh private key to putty, trying to connect and droplet still ask for user+password.

p.s. what did i wrong?

how do you add they key to putty? use pegeant to manage ssh keys.
also, check your sshd_config if it is set to accept ssh keys
