Question

How to automatically pull private github repo on a droplet after creation?

I try to use cloud-config for this, but my keys seems to be ignored… I’ve also tried to put keys beforehand, but failed to add it with sshadd command. This basic task should be easy, right?

I use the following cloud-config in user-data when creating droplet:

#cloud-config

ssh_keys:
  rsa_private: |
    -----BEGIN RSA PRIVATE KEY-----
    ...
    -----END RSA PRIVATE KEY-----

  rsa_public: ssh-rsa ...== ***@gmail.com

runcmd:
  - git clone git@github.com***.git
  - cd ~/RepoDir
  - . Script.sh

Hello, @maratal

When you say that you’ve tried to add the keys with the sshadd command but it failed to add them, what was the exact error? You should be able to copy your keys manually as well.

Let me know how it goes.
