How to change RDP Password if I lost it accidentally?

1 Answer

You should be able to do that by running this command as your root user:

passwd your_rd_user

Change the your_rdp_user part accordingly and you would be prompted to enter your new password.

  • Where i run this code ?

  • I think you are telling about to change root password but I want to change rdp password.

    • Bobby is saying that you should run passwd rdp_user_account to change the password of the account you use to connect via RDP, replacing rdp_user_account with the username of the account you use to connect to the server with RDP.
