How to change SFTP username and password

I take a snopshot of a instance and deploy as a new droplet. SFTP username and password is same. I want to change that. Is there any command to update SFTP username and password.

Like @Geekologist said, SFTP is basically using the SSH protocol. You could do anything of the following:

  • Create a new user and delete the old user
adduser newuser

and

deluser olduser
  • Make a new password for the current user
passwd
