I am making an app that requires making requests to a local service.
I don’t want to make the service public, so I created a droplet with a proxy app on it.
The problem is, I can’t reach the droplet from the app backend, even though I tried both the public and the private IP.
I tried pinging the droplet (and google.com) from the app using the console, but the packet loss was 100%.
How can I make it so the app can reach other services, and the requests from the app backend reaches the droplet?

VPC support (access via the private IPs) is not supported by App Platform (though it is on our horizon).
You could try authenticating calls to your droplet with other methods (eg. TLS).
You could also try using an App Platform internal service instead of a droplet. This is a service that runs in App Platform and is only accessible from other components in your App.
