How to configure email?

Posted November 15, 2013 5.8k views
How do I configure the mail sending and receiving? In ZPanel I created mailbox adm@example.com Now I need to configure The Bat to specify smtp and pop3 server. What will be these data? Do I need to control panel digitalocean under DNS for my domain to point the MX record? If Yes, what for domain example.com specify the record?

You're more likely to find people that know how to use zPanel in the zPanel Forums. The zPanel docs might also be a good place to look.
Mail does not reach certain destinations.
Error:

Where configure Reverse DNS?
Log into your DigitalOcean Control Panel and make sure that your droplet's hostname is a fully qualified domain name (FQDN).

I intend on one droplet keep multiple sites. Whether for them to act Reverse DNS control panel DO will create when I specify the fully qualified domain name of one of them?
I too will be hosting multiple sites on a single droplet, and I am unsure of what the hostname should be so emails will send successfully from my rails application. The logs simply show "There was an error delivering an inquiry confirmation: Connection refused - connect(2)".
"I intend on one droplet keep multiple sites."

That's fine.

The hostname needs to be a fully qualified domain name (FQDN) and your /etc/hosts file needs to be set, properly. See Setting the Hostname & Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) on Ubuntu 12.04 or CentOS 6.4.
