I’m new to DO and for the first time deployed a k8s cluster with pods that connect to a Postgres database. They return the following error:
Unable to connect to the database. Retrying (3)… error: no pg_hba.conf entry for host “<host>”, user “<user-name>”, database “<db-name>”, no encryption.
The k8s cluster (as well as the balancer) are located in the same VPC with the Postgres cluster. Connection from another VM in the same VPC to this database was successful. Trusted sources are not installed. In addition, this error occurs if I connect from my computer. Tell me, what am I doing wrong? Thanks for answers.

Hi.
The error message you’re describing sounds like the pod you’re running in Kubernetes is not configured with the credentials needed to connect to the database.
How exactly (what software / command) did you run to connect successfully from the VM?
What are you running in Kubernetes to try to do the same?
