WordPress is the most popular CMS (content management system) on the internet. It allows you to easily set up flexible blogs and websites on top of a MySQL backend with PHP processing. In this guide, we'll focus on getting a WordPress instance set up on a managed MySQL database on an Ubuntu 18.04 server.
  • This shows how to do it from scratch but I have an existing installation that I installed from Marketplace

    • Hello, @zelamedia

You can follow the steps and connect your WordPress installation with the managed database. However if you with to export and import your current database and move it from your droplet to the Managed Database you will need to do few more things/task from your end.

Once you’ve installed the MySQL client, you can export your database and then import it to the Managed Database platform.

In order to export your database you can use the following command:

      mysqldump --column-statistics=0 -u root -p --databases DB1 > DB1.sql

and to import the database to the Managed Database:

      mysql -u doadmin -p -h -P 25060 --ssl-mode=REQUIRED DB1 < DB1.sql

      Hope this helps!
