I just bought a computer, installed centOS 6. I have installed LAMP, I just don't know how to connect my server to my domain name. I've been working on this for 5 days.

Hello,

Here is a good tutorial on how to set it up https://www.digitalocean.com/community/articles/how-to-set-up-a-host-name-with-digitalocean
As soon as the DNS propagation (1-24 hours) ends your website's IP should automatically turn into a domain. If you havn't made any changes to Apache config, it's gotta be okay.
This article explains how to manage your DNS records using the DigitalOcean Control Panel and can help you decide if DigitalOcean's DNS management tools are right for your situation.
So is my server IP address my external or the one i get from ifconfig?
Ok I got it working on my server. I can go to leetnews.net and it will appear. But when I try to access it from a different computer it shows website unavailable.
Did you create a DNS A record, for leetnews.net, pointing @ to your external/public IP address?
