Hello,

As far as I know, at the moment the Files app on iOS only supports smb connections. So in order for you to be able to connect via this particular app, you need to setup smb on your server. Here’s an article on how to do that:

https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-a-samba-share-for-a-small-organization-on-ubuntu-16-04

Another way to connect to your droplet via your iPad is to use an SSH app like Termius for example:

Hope that this helps!

Samba is an open-source implementation of the SMB/CIFS networking protocol that is used in Windows environments for shared services such as file and printer access and Active Directory. In this guide, you will install and configure a standalone Samba server to provide networked file stores or shares for a hypothetical small organization called Example.com and learn how to access the shares from Windows, Linux, and macOS.

Thank you for your reply. I have tried Termius before but something didn’t work. I will test Samba now.
