New to DigitalOcean. I want to create a development / staging server for my Saas app before launch. I need to work on it remotely. How should I do that?

Firstly, you’ll need to create a droplet with a LAMP stack - Apache,MySql,PHP. You can use the following article to achieve that :
Once you have it, you should be able to use a program like Visual Studio Code alongside SSHFS to connect remotely to your laravel project and develop it.

Thanks for that. I repeated my question because the DO servers flagged my question as spam, and so I was not sure whether it got through. Nor why it flagged it as spam.
Creating a droplet and interacting with the files is not really an issue for me. I want to be able to view the rendered pages as I work on them, without the site being available to the public. When I was with InMotion Hosting, I could do that. I was curious how I can achive the same thing with DO.

In this case, you should be able to add an deny from all rule in your .htaccess and allow only your IP address.
That way, you’ll be the only one able to see your website.
Additionally, you can use a hosts file.
