Hi, I’m using Ubuntu 14.04 and I have the WordPress set up already, since it’s a hobby/school web and I don’t have much traffic, I thought it would be a good idea to create a portfolio web for when I start learning more about programming at the university.

So how can I add another site with it’s own different domain separated from the one I have and on the same doplet?

Many thanks

DigitalOcean has a good tutorial on how to setup virtual hosts (multiple websites) for apache here: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-apache-virtual-hosts-on-ubuntu-14-04-lts

In case you are using Nginx, there is a tutorial for it here: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-nginx-server-blocks-virtual-hosts-on-ubuntu-14-04-lts

Hope this helps!

The Apache web server is the most popular way to serve web content on the internet. Apache has the ability to serve multiple domains from a single server by using a mechanism called "virtual hosts". If a virtual host is configured correctly for each domain, the web server can correctly route traffic to the appropriate files based on the domain name requested. In this guide, we'll demonstrate how to configure Apache virtual hosts on an Ubuntu 14.04 VPS.
