Hello @asb I’m interested in setting up an existing sub-domain on the same droplet as my root domain (I had a root domain and subdomain hosted on DreamHost that I’m moving to DO - I currently have the root domain working. They follow the pattern: example.com and portfolio.example.com). The tutorial mentioned above specifically covers using different droplets; it seems like I should be able to just add an A record for the subdomain and have it point to my root domain’s ip address, is this correct? Also, do I gain anything by keeping the sub-domain listed with DreamHost or can I safely turn that off once I’ve got it configured in DO to point to the root domain?
Thanks
Dear @asb any tutorial on hosting these scenarios
Thank you in advance
Create a new A record. If you want subdomain.yourdomain.net for example create an A record with the first section as ‘subdomain’ and the second section as the IP address you want to target (your droplet normally).

Hope this helps :)
