How to edit files, to change code and needed to create a new folder

How to edit files in the server I have to edit database also please provide steps to do.

    You can edit files and create new directories after logging in to your server, using command line operations. Create Directory is 'mkdir'. To edit files, use a text editor such as 'nano' or 'vi'.

    To edit a database is far more complicated. Generally you would use phpmyadmin on a web browser for a mysql database. Or perhaps use a Windows app such as MySQL Workbench.
