How to find out if WordPress is using SSH for updates

I’m looking at this tutorial. I haven’t done any of the steps because, according to the tutorial:

If you do not have key-based updates and installations configured, you will get a prompt for connection information whenever you attempt to do either of these tasks.

I don’t get any prompt when I attempt to install themes/plugins. Does this mean my WordPress installation is already using SSH for updates? I used the one-click install with an SSH key for my root login.

So, how do I find out whether WordPress is using SSH?
