How to find servers Internal IP

I have linux/ubuntu server and I need to create Vpn site to site, for that I should know servers Internal and External Ip, as far as I know, External IP is servers address and how to find internal IP (subnet)

Hey friend,

By default you will only have a public IP address. You can enable private networking though, which will give you an internal IP. You can find instructions for using that here:

  • Hi, Jarland! Thank you for your answer! You mean private IP it is the same as Internal Ip?

    • Probably not 100% the same thing that is being referred to by your software vendor, but could potentially be an equivalent to it. When someone says “internal IP” they generally refer to a scenario in which your whole building has one external IP (cable modem, etc) and then your computers have individual internal IPs assigned by your router. That setup isn’t really replicated in a cloud hosting environment, so it won’t likely be a 1:1 match of what they’re referring to. It might work for your needs though.
