Question

How to find the UUID of a site?

I had my website built here but a developer that is not longer around. Recently I needed to update security key on the site but I am still having an issue being authenticated to our processing site. I have got ticket open with them but they need the UUID from my site at digital ocean.

Anyways I need to find the UUID of the website so that they can troubleshoot the issue. How and where can I find the UUID of website created here on Digital Ocean. Website is built on Ubuntu.

Thank you

Hi @SCPPA,

Can you please provide more information about an UUID? If you mean the UUID of your website then that that is something you need to get from your droplet inside, they can provide you with steps to do so.

If it’s your Droplet’s UUID, then only DigitalOcean’s support might help you out but I don’t see why they would need an UUID of your Droplet, it seems weird.

Hey @scppa,

In our public community, we aim to answer open questions about anything SysAdmin, DigitalOcean and beyond. However, we make every attempt to keep personal information safe and so don’t ever access personal account information here. This means we can’t provide help with any account or billing-related issues.

I believe that it would be best to ask the support team for some clarification, do you have a ticket number from when you contacted our support team so that I can get this followed up for you?

Hope that helps!

- Bobby.
