Dear community, I am new to digitalocean and server clouds. I don’t know where to start and couldn’t find any good tutorials to get started with. Do I need mac or Linux computer to work on digitalocean or do they have support for Windows?
Please suggest me a good resource to get started on digitalocean. Thank you!

It’s nice you’ve decided to try something new!
Let my try and explain. First, DigitalOcean offers only Linux servers but that does not mean you can’t connect from a Mac, Linux or Windows setup. That Docs about that is great:
https://docs.digitalocean.com/products/droplets/how-to/connect-with-ssh/
So, let’s now start with what you need.
If you need a specific droplet, you can always create one from your Control Panel here:
https://cloud.digitalocean.com/
and then configure it as you want. There are a lot of tutorials here so most probably you’ll be able to find one and use it to configure your setup.
If you have a more generic setup, I’ll suggest checking the Market Place:
https://marketplace.digitalocean.com/
There are a lot of Droplets configured to work on the go. You just need to create them and follow the instructions on them and you’ll have a Droplet ready to be used with what you need it for.
There are Managed services, basically, you use them when you just want to put certain data somewhere and not be responsible for managing it. You can have Managed DBs and things like that. Here is a link to that:
https://www.digitalocean.com/products/managed-databases
What you can do is, have a normal Droplet you’ve created for your APp and have a Managed DB product where you host your database.
