Hi @skermataa,
DigitalOcean offers a couple of tutorials on how to create a Minecraft droplet. The tutorials can be found here :
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorial_collections/how-to-create-a-minecraft-server
Sadly, it seems like the MarketPlace version is no longer available. Having said that as far as I understand the above tutorials follow the installation of the basic Minecraft edition servers + some mods/plugins.
Now, to install Bedrock Edition Minecraft, you can follow these steps:
apt-get update && apt-get -y install
wget screen openjdk-8-jdk-headless
apt install unzip
Download the Bedrock Minecraft
mkdir /var/www/bedrock_minecraft && cd /var/www/bedrock_minecraft
wget https://minecraft.azureedge.net/bin-linux/bedrock-server-1.16.210.06.zip
unzip bedrock-server-1.16.210.06.zip
Please note that the latest version of Bedrock might differ so it’s better to download it directly from the website here :
Now your Bedrock Server is located in the folder /var/www/bedrock_minecraft. To start the server you can execute the file named ./bedrock_server
/var/www/bedrock_minecraft/bedrock_server
Now that you have the right software installed and can launch your server, you’ll need to begin configuring the properties of the game server. You can do this by opening the server.properties file, again located in the /var/www/bedrock_minecraft/
