Posted December 8, 2013 3.9k views
I've been trying to install Noosfero, and have tried both sets of instructions below. The install goes without error using either method, but I cannot access the site. http://noosfero.org/Development/DebianPackage https://gitorious.org/noosfero/noosfero/source/c3308c853dc7902bb644a2eb6b28b4833bdb691e:INSTALL#L217 Thanks

I should add, setup set up via apt or git at 80 all i get is the "apache works add something" message and nada at port 3000
Did you restart apache?
sudo service apache2 restart

If that does not fix it, please pastbin your apache virtual host configs.
Yes,

I have figured it out. The instructions are written assuming your using varnish.

Once i setup varnish and configured Apache to use reverse proxy it started working.

details here https://gitorious.org/noosfero/noosfero/source/28a75f788d68629c066fe7f76c7cef8907e99d60:INSTALL.varnish
