Ubuntu provides a pretty good guide on installing and configuring SVN on an Ubuntu server. You can find it here. If you are setting up a new repository I would recommend going with git instead. We have a pre-built gitlab image that will get you up and running quickly and provides a nice web interface for your projects.

…excuse for the trivial question but I am a beginner in these arguments.
If I choose Gitlab do I have to migrate all my application towards the new droplet?

If there is another reader who has this same problem, here is a good video tutorial on how to install a Deveo SVN server on Ubuntu:

Deveo SVN server is free for teams with 5 or less people.
