How to install WHM/Cpanel?

I would like to use Digital Ocean to provide shared hosting services. And I would like to use WHM and/or Cpanel. Are there anybody knows how to install them? Thanks

There are no restrictions as far as running WHM or Cpanel.

Installation of either one is pretty simple, you can just purchase it from a reseller and run the binary as root to install Cpanel on your virtual server.

It's all very automated.
Login into shell/remote terminal, install wget, perl, then goto home or any other folder and download the installer script from Cpanel using wget. then it will do all by itself, takes 2-3 hours to complete. I think it would be better to ask support to do it, since it also involves a license which DO may be able to provide.

Anyway, you can refer to

while doing it.
Hope this helps!

Best of luck!

You'll need to buy the license from somebody like LicensePal, then follow the instructions for installing cPanel.
Please be advised that it will take many hours, and that it is only compatible with CentOS.
I know this thread is a tad bit old, though to clarify, installing CPanel doesn't take hours. It took about 56 minutes on a 2GB instance which is pretty normal. I've ran the installer on dedicated servers using only SSD's in RAID-10 and it still took about 40 minutes to finish up, so the extra 16 minutes is really nothing.

The only time it takes a little longer is if you haven't updated the server software (yum update -y) or installed the software needed by the installer (make automake autoconf gcc gcc-c++ etc).
On my 2GB server is took longer than 56 mins :/
it only took 30 minutes on my 512 droplet. not bad at all!
Who's using the WHM in DO, you have some claim?

Instability or falls?
