Hi there,
It’s quite possible that installing VMware VeloCloud Edge on DigitalOcean may not be directly achievable due to the differences in virtualization technologies.
DigitalOcean primarily uses KVM for its virtual machines, whereas VMware VeloCloud is designed for VMware ESXi. Unless VeloCloud provides a version compatible with KVM, or unless there’s a way to convert and deploy the necessary VeloCloud VM formats to ones supported by DigitalOcean, this installation may not be feasible.
As VMware VeloCloud Edge is a paid product, it’s not possible for me to conduct any tests or provide firsthand installation experiences on DigitalOcean’s platform. So it would probably be best to consult with the VMware support team to explore any potential solutions or workarounds.
Hope that this helps!
Best,
Bobby
Heya @alanxie,
I think this is a paid product with documentation which you should check for the installation process. I couldn’t find anything specific on it though.
