I used have Domain on the Dreamhost that is fully hosted on their VPS but I switch Digital Ocean for Postgress and root access. There is no tutorial for Dreamhost + Digital Ocean so I had to figure thing out myself and I’m no server admin.
I read the tutorial on GoDaddy and it’s involve changing nameserver but on the Dreamhost, they said that I can’t change nameserver and here is what they say: Non-editable DreamHost DNS records for example.com. These records were added automatically by DreamHost to provide services (such as web hosting or mail) which are active for this domain.
I can add DNS record type A point to my droplet IP but when I go to my website, I got Site Not Found from the dreamhost.

Go to the registrar you purchased the domain from and change the glue records there, following the instructions on Digital Ocean.
Told you that there is no instruction on Digital ocean for the Dreamhost.
Anyway, I get it to work already It just take a full day to redirect. I just point my DNS to the IP of the Digital Ocean and everything now work fine.
