Hi,
I have a working https://mysite.com with a signed certificate.
if i add a CNAME record CNAME www mysite.com.
www.mysite.com is redirected to https://www.mysite.com
the CERT is not signed for the site that includes the www.
how do I make a simple redirect for the www.mysite.com to point to https://mysite.com
or do I have to make another virtual server in apache with the www. ?

You can type !ref in this text area to quickly search our full set of tutorials, documentation & marketplace offerings and insert the link!
Using a rewrite in an .htaccess file you could do it with:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www\.example\.com$
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://example.com/$1 [R=301,L]
or you could create a separate VirtualHost file for www and redirect it from there like this:
<VirtualHost *:80>
ServerName www.example.com
Redirect permanent / http://example.com/
</VirtualHost>
