How to resolve the 100s request timeout of Digital Ocean's app. Is there a way to increase the timeout or something else?

We have an endpoint which is for exporting an Excel file from Digital Ocean. Now it will be a timeout and return a 404 if our request is over the 60s and will be 524 if we set the timeout in our Nginx configuration. We find there is a 100s limit for Digital Ocean and required an enterprise customer to increase the 524 timeout up to 6000 seconds using the proxy_read_timeout API endpoint. Do you guys have other way to handle this situation? Thanks a lot.

I believe that there is a hard set 100s timeout in the App platform for requests that unfortunately can’t be changed.
The best thing to do to get your voice heard regarding this would be to head over to our Product Ideas board and post a new idea, including as much information as possible for what you’d like to see implemented.
An alternative option for the time being would be to use a Dropet to deploy your website to, rather than the App Platform. That way you will have full control over your web server configuration.
