So I installed sendmail open 25 port on ufw testing but nothing.
I’ve installed postfix, configured it, open 25 port on ufw testing…and nothing…

Nothing, I mean even in /var/log/ empty

Now I’m del all mail software to reinstall it with your instructions on site and also have no luck…

So Ok question:
How can I send email from SMTP on DO using php mail() function?

  • Hi @gromovandrii,

    Glad to hear you managed to find a solution. Do you by any chance want to post a bit more in-depth about your solution here so that other users can better understand how it works?

    For instance, I use PEARMail with Postfix like so

    $to      = '';
    $subject = 'Postfix Test';
    $message = 'A test email';
    $headers = 'From:' . "\r\n" .
      'Reply-To:' . "\r\n" .
      'X-Mailer: PHP/' . phpversion();
    mail($to, $subject, $message, $headers);

    Of course I would need to have PHP installed and Postfix configured on the droplet to do so but that’s the general idea.
